No, Reiki is a universal life force energy. It is not religious, just like a lightning strike isn’t religious. It is naturally occurring on this earth. Danielle is able to channel the energy and focus it where it needs to go.

You don’t necessarily need to believe in it, however you need to be open to the possibility that it could help you. A closed mind can create an energetic barrier that will not allow for the benefits. In summary, you don’t need to believe in it, but openness and curiosity are a perfect place to start. 

Similar to a massage, Reiki is a hands on technique. However, hands are placed in one position for a while and moved only a handful of times during the session. Reiki can also be done without hands on if the recipient prefers it that way. The energy channels through the hands. Think of it more as being held, than a massage.

Whatever you are most comfortable in. Reiki can be done over any type of clothing. You will be getting on and off a massage table so pants may be preferred. A blanket will be offered to put over you. 

Some people may experience lightheadedness right after the session. This usually goes away within minutes. Side effects may also contain emotional release, relaxation, and joy.
